What the assistant can see (privacy)

The Profit Assistant is built to be useful and safe. Here is exactly what it can and cannot do with your data.

Only your store

The assistant can only see and discuss this store's own data. It has no access to any other store, merchant, or Shopify account. Ask it about another store and it will tell you it can only help with yours.

Read-only

Its tools only look things up. It can read and explain your numbers, but it cannot change, delete, or write anything - not your settings, not your orders, not your costs. If you ask it to change something, it will tell you it cannot, and point you to the right page to do it yourself.

No customer names or emails

The app does not store customer names, emails, addresses, or phone numbers, so the assistant cannot see them. Customers appear only as anonymous IDs. Reporting stays at the level of products, vendors, channels, and time.

Safe with messy data

The assistant treats everything inside your data - product names, notes, tags - purely as information to analyse. It will not follow instructions that happen to be written inside your store's data.

Your conversation is saved so it survives a page refresh, and it is shared between the chat bubble and the dashboard card.
