Vendor profit report
See profit, margin, and return rate for each vendor, brand, or supplier on Shopify, with a profit-versus-revenue matrix that flags high-revenue, low-profit brands.
Updated July 8, 2026
This report ranks your profit by vendor (brand or supplier) - revenue, net profit, margin, and return rate for each, with a matrix that flags brands with strong sales but thin profit.
What it shows
A profit-versus-revenue matrix plots your vendors so the ones with strong revenue but weak profit stand out. Below it, a table lists each vendor with the number of products sold, quantity sold, revenue, net profit, margin, and return rate. To drop from a vendor down to the individual items behind its numbers, use the product profit report.

How to read it
Look for vendors that sit high on revenue but low on profit or margin, or that carry a high return rate. Those are the brands to renegotiate, reprice, or scale back. A high return rate on a vendor is worth digging into with the returns cost report; to group the same sales by product type instead of by brand, open the profit by category report. This report is part of the Pro plan.
