Date ranges and comparing periods

How to set the dashboard date range with presets or a custom range, and how to compare against the previous period, the previous year, or a custom range.

Updated June 30, 2026

Two pills at the top left of the dashboard control the time period and the comparison. They drive every number and chart on the page.

Pick a date range

  1. Click the date pill (it opens on the last 30 days).
  2. Choose a preset on the left: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Week to date, Last week, Last 30 days, Month to date, Last month, Last 90 days, Year to date, or Last year.
  3. Or set a custom range: use the From and To fields, or click two dates on the calendar.
  4. Click Apply.

Compare to another period

  1. Click the Compare pill, next to the date pill.
  2. Choose one of: No comparison, Previous period, or Previous year. Previous period and Previous year are worked out automatically from the range you picked.
  3. For your own comparison window, click Custom range and pick a From and To date, then Apply.

What you should see

With a comparison on, each figure on the dashboard shows the current period with the comparison alongside it, so you can see whether profit, revenue, and costs went up or down. The "What moved your profit" section only fills in when a comparison is on - it needs two periods to compare. Turn comparison off by choosing No comparison.
