Profit opportunities report

Find storefront traffic that isn't turning into profit - pages with visitors but low conversion, out-of-stock demand, and dead links - so you can recover sales you already pay to attract.

Updated July 8, 2026

This report uses your Shopify storefront analytics to find pages that get visitors but little profit - low-converting pages, out-of-stock demand, and dead links - and estimates the profit you could recover without spending more on ads.

What it shows

Using Shopify's own storefront analytics, the report surfaces pages that get visitors but little profit, grouped by the likely reason - low conversion, products that are out of stock, or dead links that send visitors nowhere. Each opportunity shows the traffic involved and the profit at stake, so you can start with the biggest.

Filters and options

  • Date range picker.
  • The traffic figures come from Shopify's analytics, so this report needs your Shopify analytics access. When that access is not approved yet, the report shows a short note instead of numbers.

When to use it

Use it when you want more from the traffic you already have. Fixing a high-traffic page that barely converts, or restocking a product people keep trying to buy, recovers profit without raising your ad spend. Pair it with the inventory health report to decide what to reorder or mark down, and the products not selling report to find stock that gets no sales at all.

Frequently asked questions
