Affiliate rules let you set a commission that is subtracted from profit whenever an order comes from a given affiliate, network, or campaign. They live in the Affiliate rules section of the Marketing page. Affiliate rules are available on the Pro plan and up.
Steps
- Open Cost rules, then Marketing (/app/costs/marketing), and find the Affiliate rules section. The old Affiliates link sends you here too.
- Click Add affiliate rule.
- Give the rule a name, and a provider name if you like (for example Awin).
- Choose how to match the order: UTM source equals, UTM campaign equals, Referrer URL contains, or Order tag is. Then enter the value to match (for example a UTM source of "awin"). Matching is not case-sensitive.
- Choose the cost type: Percentage of order revenue, Fixed amount per order, or Fixed amount per item. Then enter the amount.
- Under "Apply to", keep "Whole order", or limit the rule to a product type, vendor, or SKU prefix.
- Set a priority if you have several rules. Lower numbers run first, and the first matching rule wins.
- Click Add rule.
What you should see
The rule appears in the Affiliate rules list with its match, cost, and priority. From then on, any new order whose attribution matches has the commission subtracted from its profit. Click a rule to edit it any time.
Tip
The app scans your recent orders for known affiliate networks, price-comparison sites, email tools, and social sources, and shows them under "Detected sources". You can add a rule for one of those with a single click, then adjust the rate later.
