Online Store vs POS report
Your Online Store and POS as two mini profit-and-loss statements side by side - revenue, costs, and net profit each - so you can see which channel actually makes money.
Updated July 8, 2026
This report puts your Online Store and POS side by side as two mini profit-and-loss statements - net profit, margin, revenue, orders, and the full cost breakdown for each - so you can see which channel makes money after its costs.
What it shows
Two cards, one per channel. Each leads with the channel's net profit and margin, then shows revenue, orders, and profit per order on one line, followed by the full cost breakdown down to net profit.
Costs you tagged Online Store only or POS only in your expense settings land in that channel; shared costs are split across both, so the two cards add up to your whole business. Online Store covers every non-POS order (web, draft orders, marketplaces).
When you turn on Compare, a line-by-line comparison table appears in its own section, and a "Products by channel" section shows which products sell in each channel.
Filters and options
- Date range picker.
- Compare to the previous period, the previous year, or a custom range.
- Schedule report: emailed on a schedule with a CSV attached.
- Export data: download as a CSV (Business plan).
When to use it
Use it when you sell both online and in person and want to know which channel is really paying off after costs, or to catch a channel whose overhead is eating its revenue. It only appears once you have used POS - online-only stores never see an empty comparison.
Frequently asked questions
Is my Online Store or POS more profitable?
Each channel gets its own net profit and margin down the full cost breakdown, side by side, so you can see which one makes money after its costs.
Why is one channel less profitable at similar sales?
Costs you tag Online Store only or POS only land in that channel and shared costs are split across both, so a channel carrying more overhead shows a lower net profit even at similar revenue.
Which products sell in each channel?
Turning on Compare adds a Products by channel section that shows which products sell in each channel.
