Thresholds

Suggested thresholds from your sales rate

Let Easy Stock Buffer scan recent sales, work out each variant's daily sales rate, and suggest a threshold that covers the days of safety stock you choose.

Updated July 22, 2026

Suggested thresholds (Pro) look at how fast each variant has been selling and propose a threshold, so you can set safety stock based on real demand instead of guessing. You review the suggestions and apply the ones you want.

Steps

  1. Open Suggested thresholds (/app/suggest).
  2. Set the Window in days - how much recent history to analyze (7 to 90 days).
  3. Set Days of safety stock - how many days of sales you want the threshold to cover.
  4. Click Scan orders.
  5. Tick the rows you want and click Apply. Confident suggestions are pre-selected.

How a suggestion is worked out

For each variant, the app takes the average daily sales rate over the window and multiplies it by your days of safety stock, with a minimum of 1. It shows the units sold, the daily rate, current inventory, the current threshold, and the suggested threshold so you can judge each one. Variants with little history are flagged Low data, and variants with no sales in the window are listed separately with no suggestion.

What you should see

Applied suggestions are saved as per-variant thresholds and appear on the Thresholds page right away. Anything you do not tick is left unchanged.

Good to know

Suggestions use the sales history the app has collected since you installed it, so they get better over time. For slow-movers with no recent sales, set a threshold by hand with a threshold on a product. To apply exact numbers from your own file, use CSV import. What a threshold does is covered in how thresholds decide what gets blocked.
