Auto-hide sold-out products and republish on restock

When every variant of a product is at its threshold, Easy Stock Buffer can hide it from your storefront, then bring it back automatically when you restock.

Updated July 22, 2026

Auto-hide (Pro) takes a product off your storefront once all of its variants have reached their threshold, so shoppers never land on a page they cannot buy from. When you restock above the threshold, the product is published again on its own.

Turn it on

  1. Open Settings (/app/settings) and find the Auto-hide sold-out products section.
  2. Turn on the switch.
  3. Choose how to hide: Draft removes the product from all sales channels, while Unlisted keeps a direct link working but hides it from listings and search.
  4. If you chose Draft, you can add a redirect URL so anyone with the old link is sent somewhere useful.
  5. Save.

Keep it in sync

Auto-hide reacts to inventory changes as they happen. If some products that should be hidden are still showing - for example after a connection hiccup - click Re-scan now to recheck every protected product and hide any that qualify.

What you should see

The dashboard shows how many products auto-hide is currently managing. Hidden products come back to their original status automatically when restock lifts them above the threshold. The protection report lists what is hidden right now and since when.

Good to know

Auto-hide works alongside the checkout block, not instead of it - checkout stays protected even for products that are still visible. To show remaining buyable stock on the product page rather than hiding it, use the storefront stock display. The Draft and Unlisted choices are summarized in the settings overview.
