Edit the message shoppers see at checkout

Reword the cart messages Easy Stock Buffer shows when an item is over its limit, so they match your brand and language. Three messages cover every blocked case.

Updated July 22, 2026

When a shopper tries to buy more than your buffer allows, Easy Stock Buffer shows a short message in the cart. You can reword all three messages in Settings so they match your brand voice and language.

The three messages

  • Item fully reserved: shown when none of an item is available to buy above your buffer.
  • Over the limit: shown when a shopper tries to buy more than is currently available.
  • Multiple items blocked: shown once, instead of separate errors, when two or more items would be blocked.

Steps

  1. Open Settings (/app/settings) and find the checkout message fields.
  2. Edit any of the three messages. Leave a field blank to keep the default wording.
  3. Save.

Placeholders

Each message can include placeholders that the app fills in automatically. Type the placeholder name inside curly braces, as shown in the default text next to each field: use "title" for the product name, "count" for how many can still be ordered, and "products" for the list of blocked products in the multiple-items message.

What you should see

The new wording appears in the cart the next time a shopper hits a block. The messages are read by the same server-side rule that does the blocking, so a change applies everywhere - see how the checkout block works. These fields are part of the wider settings overview.
