Show buyable stock and sold-out on your storefront

Add the Easy Stock Buffer theme blocks to show shoppers the stock they can actually buy above your buffer, and to grey out the add-to-cart button when a variant is sold out.

Updated July 22, 2026

The storefront display (Pro) shows shoppers the stock you can actually sell - inventory minus your safety buffer - and can grey out the buy button before a shopper ever reaches the checkout block. It comes as two theme blocks you add in the theme editor.

The two blocks

  • Stock box: shows a live "in stock" count of the units above your threshold, updating as the shopper switches variants. An exact number below a cap you choose, or "cap plus" at or above it. It can also show reserved and total lines.
  • Sold-out display: when a variant's buyable stock reaches zero, it greys out and relabels the add-to-cart button, hides dynamic checkout buttons, and dims option values that are exhausted - so shoppers never hit the checkout block message.

Steps

  1. Open Settings (/app/settings) and find the Storefront display section.
  2. Click Open theme editor.
  3. Add the Easy Stock Buffer stock box block to your product template, and turn on the sold-out display app embed.
  4. Adjust each block's text and options in the theme editor, then save the theme.

What you should see

On a product page, the stock box shows the buyable count for the selected variant, and once that reaches zero the buy button is disabled with your sold-out label. Both blocks follow the same threshold rules as checkout, so what shoppers see always matches what the block enforces.

Good to know

The blocks only render while you are on Pro. They mirror the same threshold precedence as how the checkout block works. If you would rather remove sold-out products from the store entirely, use auto-hide sold-out products. The storefront section is also summarized in the settings overview.
