Pause all thresholds for a sale

Temporarily switch off every stock buffer so you can sell down to zero during a flash sale or clearance, then have protection turn itself back on.

Updated July 29, 2026

Pause (Pro) is a break-glass switch that turns off every threshold at once for a set number of hours, so you can sell your whole buffer during a flash sale or clearance without deleting any of your settings.

Steps

  1. Open Enforcement settings.
  2. Choose how long to pause: 1 hour, 6 hours, or 24 hours.
  3. While a pause is active, checkout is not blocked for any product, the add to cart block lets every add through, and the storefront display stops subtracting your buffer.
  4. To end it early, click Resume.

What you should see

A banner shows the time the pause runs until. When it ends, or when you click Resume, every threshold returns exactly as it was - none of your per-variant, bulk, or default settings are lost.

It ends on its own

You do not have to come back and switch anything on. The app checks every minute, so a 1 hour pause lasts about an hour and then thresholds start holding again by themselves. The page you paused from refreshes itself at that moment too, so it stops showing a pause that has already finished.

If the app cannot reach your store for a while, a pause can run past the time you picked, up to the end of that day in your store's time zone. It can never end early, and it can never stay on forever.

Good to know

Pausing affects the whole store, not one product. To lower protection for just some products, edit their thresholds instead - see set a threshold on a product. While paused, the checkout block described in how the checkout block works simply lets every order through. Pause sits alongside the other controls in the settings overview.
