Easy Stock Buffer
Set a safety-stock floor per product and Easy Stock Buffer blocks checkout server-side before you run out - no theme edits, and it holds on every payment path including Shop Pay.

What Easy Stock Buffer does
Easy Stock Buffer stops selling a product once its stock reaches a safety threshold you set, blocking checkout on Shopify's servers so you never oversell your buffer.
Quick setup: protect your stock in 5 minutes
Set a threshold on a product, then switch on Easy Stock Buffer in your Checkout settings. Two steps and overselling below your buffer stops.
Activate stock blocking in your Checkout settings
Easy Stock Buffer blocks oversells through a Shopify checkout rule you switch on once in Settings, then Checkout. Until you add the rule, checkout is not blocked.

How the checkout block works
Easy Stock Buffer checks each cart against your thresholds on Shopify's own servers, so the block holds on Shop Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, and direct checkout links with no theme code.
How thresholds decide what gets blocked
A threshold is the minimum stock you keep. Easy Stock Buffer blocks a checkout line when buying it would drop the variant below its threshold, using the most specific threshold that applies.

Troubleshooting
A product is still selling past its threshold
If checkout is not being blocked below your buffer, it is almost always the checkout rule that has not been activated. Here is the full checklist to fix it.
Low-stock alerts are not arriving
If you are not getting stock emails, check that delivery is on, a recipient is set, the variant has its own threshold, and you have not hit the monthly cap or a digest schedule.
Before you uninstall
What happens when you remove Easy Stock Buffer: blocking stops, your subscription is cancelled by Shopify, and your data is kept for a short grace period in case you reinstall.

Low-stock email alerts
Get an email when a variant reaches its threshold. Turn alert delivery on, set a recipient, and choose which variants alert you. Free includes up to 10 alerts a month.
Daily, weekly, and monthly alert digests
Instead of one email per variant, get a single scheduled digest listing everything below threshold. Pick daily, weekly, or monthly, and the time it arrives.
Storefront
Auto-hide sold-out products and republish on restock
When every variant of a product is at its threshold, Easy Stock Buffer can hide it from your storefront, then bring it back automatically when you restock.
Show buyable stock and sold-out on your storefront
Add the Easy Stock Buffer theme blocks to show shoppers the stock they can actually buy above your buffer, and to grey out the add-to-cart button when a variant is sold out.
Thresholds
Set a threshold on a product
Pick products on the Thresholds page and set the minimum stock to keep. Easy Stock Buffer then blocks checkout for any variant that would drop below that level.
Set a shop-wide default threshold
Turn on a shop default in Settings and every variant that has no threshold of its own keeps that minimum stock, so nothing is left unprotected.
Bulk thresholds by collection, tag, or type
Protect many products at once with one rule. Pick a collection, tag, or product type and set a threshold for every variant, or a different threshold per option value like size.
Set per-location thresholds
Keep a different minimum stock at each location. Easy Stock Buffer adds them up, or with strict counting stops selling as soon as any one location runs down to its threshold.
Import thresholds from a CSV
Upload a CSV with variant_sku and threshold columns to set safety stock on up to 5,000 variants at once. Small files import instantly, big ones run in the background.
Suggested thresholds from your sales rate
Let Easy Stock Buffer scan recent sales, work out each variant's daily sales rate, and suggest a threshold that covers the days of safety stock you choose.
