Thresholds
Set a shop-wide default threshold
Turn on a shop default in Settings and every variant that has no threshold of its own keeps that minimum stock, so nothing is left unprotected.
Updated July 22, 2026
The shop-wide default threshold is a single minimum that applies to every variant that does not have its own threshold or a bulk rule. It is the easiest way to make sure nothing is ever left unprotected.
Steps
- Open Settings (/app/settings) and find the Shop default section.
- Turn on the switch. A threshold field appears, starting at 1.
- Enter the minimum stock you want every product to keep by default.
- Save from the save bar at the bottom of the page.
What you should see
The Thresholds page shows a Shop default value in the Protection summary, and a note that it applies everywhere. Variants with no threshold of their own show a Shop default badge and are protected at that level.
Good to know
The shop default is the lowest-priority setting. A threshold on the variant, or a bulk rule for its collection, tag, or type, always wins over it - see how thresholds decide what gets blocked. Use the default as a safety net, then set higher thresholds on the products that need more of a buffer with a threshold on a product. To clear it, turn the switch off and save.
