Settings

Settings

Every shop-wide setting in Easy Tickets & Events on Shopify: branding, email sender name, timezone, time and date format, inventory location, languages, the setup guide and data requests.

Updated September 24, 2026

Settings holds the choices that apply to your whole shop, from branding and the email sender to languages and the setup guide. Open it from Settings in the app's menu.

Choices for one event, such as tickets, emails and check-in, sit on that event's own settings tabs.

How saving works

Most sections save together with the Shopify save bar at the top of the admin. It only sends the sections you changed. Switches and the Default customer language save the moment you change them. A message confirms each save.

Brand settings

Your logo and accent color are used in ticket emails and PDF tickets across all your events.

  • Logo image: pick one from Shopify Files, upload one, or drag it in. Empty by default.
  • Refund protection image and Option add-on image: the app's own illustration while empty.
  • Accent color: #1990C6. It colors buttons and links in ticket emails.

Ticket SKU template

SKU template sets the SKU of new ticket variants. The default is EASY-TICKET-{{event-name}}-{{ticket-type}}, and it can use {{event-name}} and {{ticket-type}}. Both are written in capitals with hyphens. The template applies when you create events, and duplicate titles get -2, -3 and so on.

Default product vendor

Vendor is filled in on new event products in Shopify. New shops start with "Easy". Leave it blank and Shopify shows no vendor.

Email sender name

  • Sender name: the name customers see on ticket emails, reminders and other emails. Left blank, emails go out as "Easy Tickets", so fill it in.
  • Your name: how the app greets you in the emails it sends you. Blank greets you with your store's myshopify address name, the part before .myshopify.com.
  • Notification email: where the app sends you updates such as ticket-limit warnings. Blank uses your store's email address.

Customer emails have no reply-to setting. A customer who replies writes to the app's sending address, so put your contact email in the email footer.

Language & region

  • App language: English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português or Dansk. See App language below.
  • Store currency: read only, taken from Shopify.
  • Timezone: taken from Shopify at install. Changing it re-plans every pending reminder and follow-up, and moves Zoom meetings.
  • Time format: "24-hour (14:00)", the default, or "12-hour (2:00 PM)".
  • Date format: Automatic (the default), Day/month/year or Month/day/year.

The time and date formats apply to your customers too, in emails, PDF tickets and on the storefront.

Inventory location

Ticket inventory location decides which store location holds ticket stock. The default is "Primary location (default)".

Event details on the product page

Show event details on the product page puts the date, time and location above the buy button on one-time event pages. It is on for shops installed after August 22, 2026, and off for older shops. Pages with the Event Date, Event Location or Date & time picker block are left alone, as described in storefront blocks.

Point of Sale

Ask for options at the till is on by default. The Shopify POS till then asks for the same add-ons and refund protection as your store, leaving out sold-out choices. Turn it off to sell plain tickets at the counter.

Customer languages

One switch serves each shopper in the language they shop in. With it on, this section lists your store's languages and the Checkout limit messages for each one. Customer languages covers the whole feature.

Storefront text

  • Default customer language: what shoppers get when the app cannot tell their language, and the language you write event texts in. Six choices, saved as you pick.
  • Translate / override phrases for: pick a language, then reword any built-in phrase. Each phrase shows the English reference next to your text, and Clear brings back the built-in wording.
  • Search phrases finds a phrase. The list includes every email subject and the waitlist email's wording.

Embeddable widget

This section holds the code for listing your events on another website, with a Copy embed code button. Events widget for a website outside Shopify explains it.

Integrations

Three tiles connect Zoom, Klaviyo and Mailchimp once for the whole shop. Each tile shows "Connected", "Not working" or "Not connected", with a Connect, Manage or Fix connection button. Once one service is connected, Recent activity appears under the tiles. The setup for each service is in Zoom, Klaviyo and Mailchimp.

Customer data requests

This section only appears after Shopify forwards a customer's request for a copy of their data.

  1. Shopify sends the request, and the app builds a file in the background.
  2. The row shows Received, Customer, Removed on and a Download button.
  3. Download the file and send it to the customer within 30 days.

The file lists the person's tickets, the tickets they bought for others, waitlist entries, class passes, ticket history, staff notes and seat bookings. It is deleted 60 days after the request arrived. The app does not email the customer; you send the file yourself.

Setup guide

The Setup guide section, and the setup card on the home page, check whether your store is ready to sell tickets. Each step is checked for you.

StepDone when
Create your first eventYou have at least one event
Add the ticket popup to your online storeThe Easy Tickets Popup app embed is on in your published theme
Set up your event product pagesAn Easy Tickets product-page block is on your theme, or you clicked Mark as done
Create an upcoming events pageThe Events page or Expired Events block is on your theme, or you clicked Mark as done
Ticket downloads on the thank-you pageShown as "Already on" and not counted
Turn on ticket limit enforcementShown only when an event has a per-order limit; done when the checkout rule is on

Each step's button opens the right place: Create event, Open theme editor, Create page, Open page template, Open checkout editor or Open ticket limits. The guide never edits your theme itself.

On the home page, the card folds its steps away once everything is done. One line stays to say whether the popup embed is on, and Hide setup guide hides the card.

First-run setup wizard

The first time you open the app, a five-step wizard opens in your Shopify admin's language. Other app pages wait until you answer it.

  1. "Welcome to Easy Tickets & Events": App language.
  2. "Dates and times": Timezone.
  3. "Date and time format": Date format and Time format.
  4. "Where can we reach you?": Your name and Notification email, both optional.
  5. "Your customers": Customer languages ("Use customers' languages" or "Use one language") and Default customer language.

Skip setup counts as an answer, and the wizard does not come back. Every answer can be changed later in Settings. The wizard does not create an event or touch your theme; the setup guide covers those steps.

App language

App language sets the language of the app's screens and of the emails the app sends you. It does not change what shoppers see.

  • There are six choices: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Danish.
  • English means "follow Shopify". If your Shopify admin runs in one of the other five, the app shows in that language.
  • Any other admin language shows the app in English.

Getting help

Every app page has a Need help? bubble at the bottom right. It opens "Need help? Ask us here" with two tabs, Chat and Videos.

  1. Type your message and send it.
  2. Give the email address where you want the answer.
  3. A real person replies by email, usually within a day.

The chat has no AI and is not live chat. Messages can be up to 4,000 characters. The Videos tab says "Video guides are coming soon" for now.

The Support card on the home page opens the same chat with Get in touch. The home page's Discover more section links to these guides.

What Settings does not have

  • No custom sending domain and no reply-to address.
  • No notification address per event.
  • No staff accounts or roles.
  • No tax or currency settings. Currency comes from Shopify.
  • After add to cart lives on any event's Attendee information tab and applies to every event.

Frequently asked questions

Why do my ticket emails come from Easy Tickets instead of my store?

The Sender name field is empty. Left blank, customer emails go out as "Easy Tickets", even though the help text mentions your store name. Type your store or brand name in Settings > Email sender name > Sender name and save.

Where do I change the time format my customers see?

In Settings > Language & region > Time format. It switches between 24-hour and 12-hour, and it applies to emails, PDF tickets and the storefront as well as the admin.

Where is the After add to cart setting?

On any event's Attendee information tab. It sits on an event, but the choice applies to every event in your store.

How do I reach a person for help?

Click the Need help? bubble at the bottom right of any app page and send a message. A real person replies by email, usually within a day. The chat has no AI.
