Emails the app sends you
Every email Easy Tickets sends to you as the store owner, from ticket limit warnings to action-needed alerts, and where to set the address they go to.
Updated September 24, 2026
Easy Tickets emails you, the store owner, when you are close to your ticket limit and when something stops sales or leaves a paying customer without a ticket. It also sends the emails you ask for, such as the check-in link.
Where the emails go
Set the address in the app's Settings, in the Email sender name section, under Notification email. The setup wizard asks for it too, on the step "Where can we reach you?".
- If Notification email is empty, the app uses your store's contact email from Shopify.
- When you use Email me the check-in link and no notification email is set yet, the address you send to is saved as your notification email.
- Your name, in the same section, is the name the emails greet you with. Left empty, they greet you by your myshopify address name, for example "my-store".
The ticket limit warnings and the alerts are written in your app language. The alerts come from "Easy Tickets", and replying to one reaches Upsellshark support.
In the list below, words in square brackets stand for your event, order or service.
Ticket limit warnings
Three emails, one for each point of your plan's ticket limit in the current cycle:
- 80 percent: "You've used 80% of your ticket quota"
- 90 percent: "Quota almost full (90%)"
- 100 percent: "Ticket quota reached - action required"
Each is sent once per cycle, with a "View ticket usage" button that opens the Plans page. The 100 percent email explains that new ticket purchases are paused on your storefront until the limit resets.
The app checks the limit after it processes an order. A shop that crosses a line through free registrations, class pass bookings or tickets added by hand gets the email with its next order. How the limit works is covered in plans and pricing.
Action needed alerts
- "Action needed: tickets for [event] can't be bought right now" goes out when a ticket type loses its link to its Shopify product option. This can happen after the product was deleted and made again. Its button is "Open the event". Deleting the product of an event that has ended emails nobody.
- "Action needed: add-ons for [event] can't be bought right now" goes out when an add-on choice loses its Shopify variant. Its button is "Open the add-ons".
- "Action needed: a customer paid but got no ticket ([order])" goes out when an order line points at a product option no ticket is connected to. It is sent at most once per order.
- "Action needed: order [order] needs your attention in Easy Tickets" goes out when the app could not finish a paid order, so tickets or the ticket email may be missing. It is sent at most once per order.
- "Seated order [order] needs review" goes out when a seat booking could not be confirmed. Its button is "Review reservation".
Integration alerts
"[Easy Tickets] Your [service] connection needs attention" goes out when Zoom, Klaviyo or Mailchimp stops working. It says what the service told the app and has an "Open Integrations" button.
- It is sent once per break. A connection that stays broken does not send a second one.
- Short hiccups, such as timeouts, are retried on their own and never emailed.
- The home page also shows a banner, such as "Zoom connection failed", with an Open Integrations button.
Setting up the connections is covered in Zoom, Klaviyo and Mailchimp.
Emails you ask for
- "Your check-in link for [event]" is sent only when you press Email me the check-in link. It holds the door link, the check-in code and a "Start check-in" button, so anyone you forward it to can check guests in. You can send it 5 times per event in 10 minutes and 20 times per shop in an hour.
- Email a copy to me, in a ticket's row menu on the Attendees tab, sends a copy of that customer's ticket email to your notification email.
After you uninstall
The app sends one short, personal email after you uninstall, asking what could have been better. It goes out between 2 hours and about a day and a half later. When the app can read the uninstall survey, the email can match the reason you gave. Reinstalling cancels it.
What the app does not email you
- New orders, new registrations or sold-out events.
- Delivery problems with ticket emails, reminders or follow-ups. Since 2026-09-23 they show only on the event's Delivery problems card, covered in the email settings article.
- A daily digest of any kind.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the app's emails to me go?
To the Notification email in the app's Settings, in the Email sender name section. If that field is empty, they go to your store's contact email from Shopify.
Does the app email me about new orders?
No. There is no email for a new order, a new registration or a sold-out event. Sold out is available as a Shopify Flow trigger instead.
Will I get an email when a ticket email fails?
No. Since 2026-09-23, stuck or refused ticket emails show only on the event's Delivery problems card. A paid order the app could not finish still sends you one action-needed email.
Can I turn these emails off?
No. There is no switch for single alerts. They only go out when something needs you, and most go out once per problem.
