Selling on your storefront

The Events page block

Show all your events on one Shopify page with the Events page block: list or grid of cards, search, date and tag filters, a featured banner and past events.

Updated September 24, 2026

The Events page block lists your events on one page of your store, with search, date filters, tags and an optional featured banner. Each card links to the event's product page, where the shopper buys.

Add it to a page

The setup guide step "Create an upcoming events page" walks you through it:

  1. Create a page in Shopify, for example "Upcoming events". The Create page button in the setup guide opens that screen.
  2. In the theme editor, create a new page template and add the Events page block to it (Add block > Apps > Events page).
  3. On your page, set Theme template to the new template.

The step ticks itself once Shopify reports the block on your published theme, or when you click Mark as done.

The block works on any template, and it does not need the Easy Tickets Popup app embed.

What the page shows

  • One card per event, with its image, title, lowest price, date and time, venue, spots left and a button.
  • A recurring event is one card. It shows the next date, or the span from the next to the last upcoming date when several are left. Spots left are added up across those dates.
  • Online events say "Online event" and "Your join link arrives by email."
  • Events announced as upcoming show an "Upcoming" pill and "Tickets available soon".
  • Sold-out events show "Sold out".
  • The price reads "From" when ticket types cost different amounts. It is hidden on sold-out and past cards.

The page lists events whose Shopify product is Active and that are not archived in the app. Draft and archived events stay off it. A paused event still shows its "Get tickets" button, and its product page tells the shopper that ticket sales are paused.

A shopper browsing in another currency sees a short note that prices are shown in your store's currency.

Search, filters and sort

The list always opens on "Upcoming". Filters, search and sort work instantly in the shopper's browser.

  • The date filter offers "Upcoming", "Today" and "This month". With Show past events on, it adds "All dates" and "Past".
  • Search matches the event name or the venue name.
  • The sort button switches between oldest first and newest first.
  • The tag filter lists only the tags used by this block's events.

Settings

The block's settings sit under six headings in the theme editor.

With Next upcoming event, the banner shows the soonest upcoming event that matches the block's tags, with its date, time and lowest price. With Custom, it shows only the image, heading, text and button you fill in. A custom button needs both a label and a link.

Event cards

Show date & time, Show location, Show price, Prefix lowest price with "From", Show spots left and Show button are all on. Corner style is Rounded (or Square). Event title size is 18 px (13 to 30) and Detail text size is 14 px (11 to 18).

Colors

There are 17 color pickers. They cover the section, the cards, the event title, the price and the button. Others color the filter and search bar, the no-results box, the tag pills and the featured banner. The two tag pill colors apply once you switch on Custom tag pill colors.

Text & labels

Fourteen texts cover the words on the page:

  • the five date filter names and "Search events..."
  • "Sort by date", "Get tickets", "From" and "Sold out"
  • the spots-left line and "Event has ended"
  • "No events found" and "Try a different search or date range."

Left at the default, each one shows the app's wording in the shopper's language. Your own wording from Settings > Storefront text is used too.

Past events

Past events stay hidden until you switch on Show past events. The date filter then adds "Past" and "All dates", and a past card's button reads "Event has ended". The list still opens on upcoming events.

The Expired Events block

The Expired Events block goes on the product template. Once an event is over, its product page shows your message, such as "This event has ended.", and a button. Put your events page's address in the block's Link setting, so a shopper who lands on an old event finds the next one. The button only shows when Link button label and Link are both filled.

Its other settings are listed in storefront blocks: what each one does.

The plain Upcoming Events page

The app also serves a simple list of your upcoming events at this address on your own store:

https://your-store.com/apps/easy-tickets/api/calendar

Replace your-store.com with your store's domain. Nothing in the admin links to it, and it has no settings.

  • It is a plain white page, without your theme's header, footer or fonts.
  • Its title is "Upcoming Events" with your store name, above the line "Browse and book tickets for our events."
  • Every date of a recurring event is its own card, with its time slots and spots left.
  • Each card links to the product page. There are no filters, search or images.
  • Its words follow your customer language, or the shopper's when customer languages is on.

Despite the address, this page is a list. Google Calendar and Outlook cannot subscribe to it.

How fast changes show

Both pages read your events when they load. Prices, paused sales and sale windows are always fresh.

The list of dates for each recurring event is kept for 30 seconds. It is refreshed at once after a sale, a date change or a capacity change. After a refund, spots left can show up to 30 seconds too low, never too high.

There is no month calendar

The Events page block has no month-grid calendar view. Its layouts are a list or 1 to 4 columns of cards. The only month grids on your store are the date picker's Calendar style and the class-pass booking picker. Neither lists all your events.

Limits

  • No pagination or "load more". The block shows 1 to 50 events.
  • No filter by venue, price or ticket type. Tags are the only category filter.
  • No buying from a card. Every card opens the product page.
  • A recurring event is always one card, and a card that spans several dates shows no time.
  • The page reads up to 3,000 upcoming dates per recurring event and 5,000 across the shop. Dates beyond that are dropped from the far end.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Events page block show a month calendar?

No. The block shows your events as a list or as 1 to 4 columns of cards. There is no month-grid calendar of all your events. The only month grids are one event's date picker and the class-pass booking picker. Neither lists all your events.

How do I show past events?

Switch on Show past events in the block's Filtering settings. The date filter then gets "Past" and "All dates". The list still opens on upcoming events.

Can I list only some of my events?

Yes. Type one or more tags, separated by commas, in Show only events with these tags. The block then lists only events with those tags. Tags are set on each event.

How fast does a change show on the page?

Prices, paused sales and sale windows are read fresh on every page load. The dates of a recurring event are kept for up to 30 seconds. A sale or a date change refreshes them at once.
