What happens to your data if you uninstall

Uninstalling deletes nothing straight away. Shopify tells us you have gone, and a short clock starts.

Your product pages change the same day

The Materials & Care block comes with the app, so it goes when the app does. Within moments of the uninstall your product pages stop saying what your items are made of.

That is the part worth planning for. If you sell into the EU, shoppers have to be able to see what an item is made of before they buy, so you will need another way to show them. See what EU law asks for.

Nothing else on your products changes. The app only ever added materials, care instructions, tags and safety details. Your titles, prices, descriptions and stock are Shopify's, and the app never touched them.

For a couple of days, everything is still here

Every material you typed, every care instruction, every tag, your safety details and all your settings stay in the app for about two days.

Reinstall in that window and it is all still there. Nothing to retype and no file to upload again. Put the Materials & Care block back in your theme and your product pages say what your items are made of again.

After that it is deleted for good

About two days after you uninstall, Shopify asks us to delete your shop, and we delete all of it: your products in the app, materials, care instructions, tags, safety details, settings and the record of your imports. It is gone, and we cannot get it back for you.

There was never anything about your shoppers to delete. The app does not read or store anything about your customers.

If you are on Pro

Uninstalling ends the paid plan. Shopify does that itself, so there is nothing to cancel first.
