Filters and search

How to use Easy Image Organizer's filter panel to find exactly the products and images you want to bulk-edit.

Updated May 20, 2026

The filter panel sits above the product list across every tool in Easy Image Organizer. It's the difference between "search for one product" and "find every product matching these criteria across the catalog".

Available filters

The filter panel exposes:

Product attributes

  • Status. Active, Draft, Archived.
  • Vendor. Pulled from your products' Vendor field.
  • Tags. Multi-select. Match any selected tag.
  • Product type. Single-select.
  • Collection. Multi-select. Match products in any selected collection.
  • SKU. Free text. Substring match.
  • Stock level. "In stock" / "Out of stock" / "Low stock" / "Any".

Image attributes

  • Image count. Filter products by how many images they have (e.g. "fewer than 3").
  • Image dimensions. Filter by minimum width or height (e.g. "products whose images are below 1000 px").
  • Alt text status. "Missing" / "Exists" / "Any". Filter products by whether any of their images lack alt text.

Search bar

The search bar above the filter panel does substring match on product title. Combine with filters for a focused subset.

Combining filters

All filters AND together. Example query: "Active products in Spring 2026 collection with fewer than 4 images AND missing alt text". Every condition must match for a product to appear.

Useful filter recipes

"Products that need more photos"

  • Status: Active
  • Image count: < 3

These products look thin on the storefront. Use the Organizer to upload more images, or use PackScene to generate model imagery.

"Products with missing alt text"

  • Alt text status: Missing

Use this view in the Image SEO tool then click Auto optimise all. Fixes accessibility + SEO baseline in one sweep.

"Low-resolution images on active products"

  • Status: Active
  • Image dimensions: width < 1000

These products have small images that hurt PDP quality and Core Web Vitals. Use the Organizer to delete and re-upload with higher-quality versions.

"Out-of-stock products with duplicates to clean up"

  • Stock level: Out of stock

These products are low-priority for storefront polish. Good targets for bulk duplicate cleanup.

"One vendor at a time"

  • Vendor: < pick one >

Useful when refreshing all imagery for a single brand - reorder, dedup, and SEO-fix in one focused session.

"One collection at a time"

  • Collection: < pick one >

Same as vendor, but for collection-scoped audits ("Spring 2026 collection imagery sweep").

Pagination and counts

The filter panel updates a result count at the top of the list. Pagination shows 50 products per page. The save bar only counts modified products in your current session - it persists across pagination so you can edit across multiple pages of the same filter before saving.

Saving filters

Filters reset on page reload. There's no "save this filter" feature yet. Workaround: bookmark the URL after applying filters - the filter state is in the query string, so the URL captures it.

Limits

  • The Organizer paginates at 50 per page; the max number of products you can apply filters across is up to 2000 products for the dimension-aware filters (image dimensions + alt text status), since those require fetching media data per product. Other filters (status, vendor, tags) work without limit.
  • For very large catalogues (50k+ products), use multi-step filters (vendor first, then dimension) to keep result sets manageable.

Frequently asked questions

Do filters work across all three tools?

Yes. The Organizer, Find Duplicates, and Image SEO tools all share the same filter panel. So if you filter to "Spring 2026 collection with image count under 4", you can flip between bulk-reorder, duplicate scan, and SEO edit without re-applying.

How do filters interact with the Free plan edit cap?

Filters are completely free to use. The 100-edit cap only applies to actual save operations (reorder, delete, upload). Filter all day for free.
