Easy Image Organizer free plan, Pro plan, what counts as an edit, and how to upgrade or downgrade.

Updated May 20, 2026

Easy Image Organizer has two tiers: Free and Pro. Pro removes the 100-edit-per-month cap; everything else is the same.

Free - $0 / month

  • 100 product edits per month. A "product edit" is a reorder, delete, or upload on one product. The counter resets on the first of each month.
  • Unlimited alt text editing. Never charged, never capped.
  • Unlimited filename editing. Never charged, never capped.
  • Unlimited duplicate scanning. Run the scanner as often as the cooldown allows.
  • All filters and sort options.
  • All three tools (Organizer, Find Duplicates, Image SEO).

The 100-edit cap is designed to be a real free tier - enough to clean up a small store completely, enough to validate the app before paying.

Pro - $8.99 / month

Everything in Free, plus:

  • Unlimited product edits. No 100/month cap.
  • Priority email support.

Right size for: stores with 50+ products who hit the cap regularly, anyone using the app weekly.

Final amounts shown on Shopify's charge confirmation screen.

How the edit counter works

The counter ticks when you click Save all changes in the Organizer or Find Duplicates tool. Specifically:

  • Reordering image positions on one product = 1 edit (regardless of how many images you moved).
  • Deleting images on one product = 1 edit (regardless of how many images you deleted).
  • Uploading images to one product = 1 edit (regardless of how many you uploaded).
  • Doing all three on one product before saving = 1 edit (it's one save batch).

So one product edit can include multiple actions. Bulk-saving 50 products = 50 edits.

Alt text + filename edits in the Image SEO tool don't tick the counter, regardless of how many you save.

What happens at the cap

When you hit 100 edits on Free:

  • A banner appears asking you to upgrade.
  • Subsequent save attempts are blocked with an upgrade modal.
  • The counter doesn't reset until the first of next month.

The cap doesn't roll back saved changes or lock you out of the app - you can still browse, filter, scan duplicates, edit alt text. It only blocks new reorder/delete/upload saves.

How to upgrade

  1. Open Easy Image Organizer in your Shopify admin.
  2. Click Plans in the side nav, or hit the upgrade banner.
  3. Click Pro.
  4. Shopify opens its standard billing screen.
  5. Approve. Pro is active immediately, counter goes to unlimited.

How to downgrade

Same path: open Plans, click Free, confirm. Cap re-applies on the next billing cycle.

What happens on uninstall

  • Shopify cancels the billing automatically.
  • The app deletes session data, billing record, and scan cache from Easy Image Organizer's database.
  • Your products, images, alt text, and filenames are untouched. Whatever changes you made stay in your store.
  • After Shopify's 48-hour grace period, all Easy Image Organizer data is deleted per GDPR.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as an edit?

A product-level change: reorder, delete, or upload one image on one product. Alt text and filename edits don't count - they're unlimited on every plan, including Free.

Does the duplicate scanner cost anything?

No. Duplicate scanning and cleanup are unlimited on all plans, including Free. Only the resulting deletions tick the edit counter when you save.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Easy Image Organizer uses Shopify Managed Billing. Cancel from the Apps section of Shopify admin. You keep access until the end of the billing cycle.
