Getting started with Easy Brand Page

This is the full setup flow, from clicking Install on the App Store to a live brand directory on your storefront. New to the app? Start with what Easy Brand Page does.

Step 1 - Install from the Shopify App Store

Open the Easy Brand Page listing on the Shopify App Store and click Install. Approve the permissions when prompted. The app reads your products (for vendors), collections (for auto-matching), and theme (to detect the block), and the only thing it writes is its own shop metafield that holds the brand list.

Step 2 - Open the app dashboard

After install, Easy Brand Page opens on its dashboard. A short welcome tour greets you the first time: it walks through scanning your products (there's a Scan my products button right in the tour), adding the block to your theme, and where help lives. Follow it or press Skip setup - either way, the setup guide card on the dashboard tracks the real steps and ticks them off automatically:

1. Scan your brands.
2. Add the block to your theme.
3. Map brands to collections.

Step 3 - Add the Brand Page theme block

Click the "Edit theme" button in the onboarding card. Shopify opens the theme editor on your active theme. From there:

1. Pick the page you want the brand directory to live on. Most stores create a new page (e.g. /pages/brands) and add the block there.
2. In the theme editor's left sidebar, click Add section or Add block.
3. Search for "Brand page" in the picker.
4. Drop it into the section you want.
5. Click Save in the theme editor.

The block is now part of your theme but the directory won't render until the first scan runs.

Step 4 - Run the first scan

Back in the app, open Brands and click Scan now.

The scan does three things:

1. Fetches every product from your Shopify store (paginated, so it works for stores with thousands of products).
2. Reads each product's vendor field.
3. Counts inventory and writes the brand list to a shop metafield the theme block reads.

For small stores it takes seconds. For very large stores (10k+ products), it can take a couple of minutes. You can leave the page; the scan runs server-side.

This first scan is the only one you have to start yourself. From then on, Auto-sync product changes (on by default in Settings) re-scans on its own within a few minutes whenever products are added, edited, or removed.

Step 5 - Check the storefront

Open the page where you placed the block. You should see:

• A search box at the top (or wherever you positioned it).
• An A-Z letter filter.
• A grid of brand cards, one per vendor.

If the page is empty:

• Make sure your products actually have vendors set.
• Re-run the scan from the Brands page.
• Refresh the storefront page.

Step 6 - (Optional) Mark favourite brands

On the Brands page, click the star icon next to vendors you want to feature. Marked brands appear in a separate "Featured brands" row at the top of the directory (assuming you enabled the Featured row in the theme block settings).

Step 7 - (Optional) Tune the design

Open the theme editor, click into the Brand Page block, and you'll see settings for:

• Layout preset (one-click styles for the whole brand grid).
• Card style (soft, outlined, minimal).
• Spacing (compact, comfortable, spacious).
• Columns (per desktop, per mobile).
• Heading text, search placeholder.
• Image-vs-text mode for the brand cards.
• Featured row position (before heading, below heading, below all brands).
• A-Z filter button size.
• Tag filter pills and block padding.
