The Brand slider block

Add a scrolling strip of brand logos to any page with Easy Brand Page's Brand slider theme block - what it shows and every setting.

Updated July 24, 2026

The Brand slider is Easy Brand Page's second theme block: a scrolling strip of brand logos (a marquee) you can drop on any page - homepage, footer, landing pages. It reads the same published brand data as the main directory, so it needs no separate setup.

Adding the block

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store, then Themes, and click Customize.
  2. Navigate to the page where you want the strip.
  3. Click Add section (or Add block) and find "Brand slider" - it's grouped under "Apps".
  4. Click to add, then Save.

The flow is the same as for the main directory block - see adding the theme block.

What the slider shows

Each brand's image follows the same priority as the main directory cards:

  1. The brand's uploaded logo.
  2. Its mapped collection's image, when Use collection images is on (the default).
  3. Its name as a text chip - so the slider works before any logos or images exist.

Hidden brands never appear, and neither do out-of-stock brands when your settings hide them.

Block settings

  • Heading - optional text above the strip.
  • Brands to show - which brands feed the slider: Featured brands, One tag, or All brands.
  • Tag name - used with One tag: type the tag whose brands should show.
  • Number of brands - how many brands the slider shows (2 to 30).
  • Show brand names under logos - adds a small text label under each logo. While it's on, two extra settings appear: Brand name color (leave empty to keep the subtle gray) and Brand name font size (px).
  • Use collection images - when a brand has no uploaded logo, its mapped collection's image shows instead of its name. On by default.
  • Link each brand to its page - when on, clicking a logo opens the brand's mapped collection, or a search for the brand.

Size & spacing

  • Logo height (px) - how tall each logo renders.
  • Space between logos (px) - the gap between logos in the strip.
  • Limit content width + Maximum content width (px) - center the slider at a set width when your theme renders app sections edge to edge. Off by default, so nothing changes unless you opt in.

Padding

  • Top / Bottom / Side padding (px) - the space around the whole strip. The defaults match how the slider always rendered, so nothing moves until you change them.
  • Use different padding on mobile - off scales your desktop padding down automatically on mobile; turn it on to set Top, Bottom, and Side padding on mobile (px) yourself.

Animation

  • Scroll automatically - the marquee motion. When off, the logos sit in a row the shopper can scroll by hand.
  • Scroll speed - Slow, Normal, or Fast.
  • Pause on hover - stops the strip while the shopper's cursor is over it.
  • Grayscale logos until hover - shows logos in grey and reveals their colour on hover, for a uniform strip.

Available on every plan

The Brand slider is fully available on every plan - all three sources and every setting. The only free plan limit is the app-wide 30-brand display cap, so the slider picks from your 30 published brands. One thing to know: the One tag source needs brand tags, which are part of the Plus plan - without tags it has nothing to show.

To choose which brands the Featured brands source shows, star your favourites in the app - see featured brands.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to upload logos before using the brand slider?

No. Each brand shows its uploaded logo first; without one it shows the mapped collection's image (when "Use collection images" is on, the default), and otherwise its name as text. The slider works from day one and gets more polished as you add logos.

Which brands appear in the slider on the free plan?

Whichever source you pick - Featured brands, One tag, or All brands. All three sources are available on every plan; free shops are simply limited to their 30 published brands. The number of logos in the strip is set with the "Number of brands" setting.

Can shoppers click the logos in the slider?

Yes, when "Link each brand to its page" is on. Clicking a logo opens the brand's mapped collection, or a search for the brand if there's no mapped collection.

Can I turn off the automatic scrolling?

Yes. Turn off "Scroll automatically" in the block's Animation settings. The logos then sit in a row the shopper can scroll by hand.
